Methodology
How we review
Updated Oct 2026Every tool on ToolsThatShip carries a clear verification label, a last-checked date, and links to the sources behind our recommendations.
- Tried it
- We used the tool hands-on (usually the free tier) and show the test date. Only these tools can get numeric scores. Right now 0 tools have this label.
- Community-verified
- Real builder feedback backs up our summary: Reddit threads, Hacker News, X or detailed reviews. Each one links 1–2 sources. We have not tested these ourselves.
- Not yet reviewed
- Pricing and product details are verified from official sources where linked. We haven't gathered enough independent evidence for a verdict yet.
How we check pricing
Starting prices come from each tool's official pricing page or docs. We link the page and show the date we checked it. If we can't confirm a price, it says "pending". Prices change, so check the source before you buy.
How affiliate links work
Some outbound links are affiliate links and are labeled. If you sign up through one we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Payouts are never used to rank, pick or score tools. The Stack Finder's rules don't read affiliate data at all.
Sponsors
Sponsors can buy clearly labeled placements (see Advertise). They cannot buy a ranking, a verdict, a badge or a place in a comparison. No paid rankings.
